Ground Turkey Meatloaf

Ground Turkey Meatloaf
Ingredients
  • 1 large TVF egg
  • 1 1/2 pounds TVF ground turkey
  • 1 medium apple, cored and grated
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 3/4 cup seasoned panko bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
  • FOR THE SAUCE:
  • 1/2 C ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vinegar (cider or red wine)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and coat with olive oil
  2. Meatloaf: In a large bowl, beat the egg.  Add meatloaf ingredients.  Using hands, combine until everything is well mixed.  Transfer to sheet pan and form into a football-shaped loaf, about 9×5 inches
  3. Sauce: In a small bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, W-sauce, and pepper.  Pour evenly over the top of the meatloaf, dripping down the sides.
  4. Bake until internal temp is 160 degrees, 45-55 minutes.  Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
